But Sir,

Posted on 1 min read 791 views

But Sir, I did surrender
I did follow my heart
It took me to dark places
The opposite of smart

The smile you see, however,
Is sign that I’ve moved back
Into a mind so clever
Opponents step aside.

So now I’m on vacation,
Indulge in art, relax
And let the sweet redemption
Get busy with your kind.

There are two ways to interpret this #poem, both of them strong, but with different meanings. Like a movie with alternative ending, you may choose to see the hidden threat or the wise acceptance. Or both. Words have power. We should treat them with respect.
